Lake Champlain Maritime Museum connects people to the history, archaeology, and ecology of the lake and the Champlain Valley through exhibits, hands-on learning, public programs, boat building, and more. A leader in the underwater archaeology of the region, the museum features an exhibit of Revolutionary War maritime history using artifacts recovered from underwater exploration, as well as the Philadelphia II, a full-size replica of the 1776 American gunboat. The museum continues to conduct archaeological research at key Revolutionary War sites around the lake and interpret them. Visit their 3-acre campus and explore their exhibits, take a shipwreck tour on the lake, and connect with Lake Champlain’s past and present.
