Johnson Hall State Historic Site

Johnson Hall is the restored 1763 home of Sir William Johnson, British Superintendent of Indian Affairs for the Northern Department, and Molly Brant/Konwatsi’tsiaienni. This stately home was a site of diplomacy between Native and Euro-American communities until it was seized and looted by Continental forces during the Revolution. Today, the site interprets the rich cultural interchange that occurred in the Mohawk Valley.
