Bennington Battle Monument

Dedicated in 1891, the Bennington Battle Monument is the tallest man-made structure in the State of Vermont. The 417-step tower commands spectacular views of Vermont, New York, and Massachusetts, erected near the site of a military supply depot that was the target of the British and German force defeated at the Battle of Bennington. It is the second tallest unreinforced masonry building in America, behind the Washington Monument.
