Patriot Capture of Fort George

The capture of Fort George from the British on May 11, 1775, by patriot forces under Captain Bernard Romans will be commemorated at the ruins of the fort in a ceremony that provides the context for the event in the wake of the Americans’ capture of Fort Ticonderoga the previous day and a brief re-enactment of the hand-over.
